Our Story
Delta Farm School is a leading outdoor education program located in the Brentwood and Knightsen, CA area. As a 100% outdoor learning environment, we strive to counteract the negative effects of our modern, sedentary, indoor lifestyle by fostering meaningful connections with nature.
Our nature immersion program provides children with high-quality outdoor experiences that encourage nature connection, play, and hands-on learning. Children benefit from emergent, child-led learning programs designed to develop crucial life skills such as self-direction, problem-solving, social interaction, and adaptability.
At Delta Farm School, we believe that outdoor education plays a vital role in promoting overall well-being and helping children thrive in a natural environment.
Classes
Tiny Turbines and Mini Mudders
Wednesday and Friday from
10-11:30am
At Delta Farm School, we believe in nurturing curiosity, resilience, and a deep connection to nature through immersive, hands-on learning experiences. Our classes are designed to offer children a balance of exploration, creativity, and play, all while fostering meaningful connections with the natural world.

Tiny Turbines (Ages infants-6): *supervision required*
Let your little ones explore, tinker, and create! Our Tiny Turbines class is all about engaging fine motor skills through imaginative play, hands-on crafting, tinkering and of course farm care. From delicate bead threading to intricate nature-based creations, each activity is designed to help children grow, explore and thrive in a fun, low-pressure environment. By encouraging exploration, we nurture their curiosity and create a space for them to thrive through unstructured, child-led play and develop their fine motor skills while engaging in meaningful farm tasks, fostering responsibility and nurturing their connection to nature.

Mini Mudders (Ages infants-6): *supervision required*
Get ready to run, jump, climb, and of course—get muddy! Our Mini Mudder class is designed to develop gross motor skills through adventurous, unstructured outdoor play while taking part in active farm chores—learning to care for animals, tend the land, and have fun getting their hands dirty. Whether it's splashing in mud puddles, climbing over obstacles, or carrying feed buckets these activities build strength, coordination, and balance. Let them be wild and free with unstructured play that gives them the freedom to explore, take risks, and build confidence—just as childhood should be!

Both classes emphasize child-led exploration, sensory-rich activities, and the importance of outdoor play in fostering growth and connection. Join us for a unique, community-driven approach to learning that brings families closer to nature and each other.
